While this doesn't adequately answer your question and it seems you've come to the solution yourself anyway , there is always the nifty Fido , which is integrated in to Rufus. It allows you to download specific ISO builds of Windows 8. I'm on my Mac at the moment so can't verify this Rufus is a Windows executable but for once I'm trusting my memory.
