If you like the app, we would really appreciate if you took a moment and reviewed it. As always, all feedback is appreciated, including features you would like to see and bugs you would like squashed. You can reach us at FitNotes outlook. For the price of the pro app unlike other subscription apps I think this app is wonderful.
Does the job well. You will have to test out a workout if you customize your own to know where the notes will show up. After a couple of weeks, you should be able to figure everything out. Other fitness tracking apps have monthly fees which I think is ridiculous. The only other better option would probably be old school pen and paper. It would be good if there were at least an option to "Continue With Last Exercise Values", so it works for the same exercises among different workouts.
Exercise notes, which can include important information that can affect decisions in future workouts, are not currently included in CSV exports.
It would be helpful if notes could be included. In Notes boxes e. See RepCount for an example. In any workout, after exiting the Notes section of any exercise containing boxes: Exercise Note, Workout Note, Workout Definition Note, Exercise Definition Note , the workout page has been scrolled all the way to the top.
For usability, it should instead return to where the user had been on the page. It seems that data is not synced to the cloud, which would mean app data loss should the app be deleted or reinstalled, in which case a cloud sync option should be added. A dark mode, in which the full interface has a dark color theme, would be great. Currently it appears that only certain portions of the interface vary in color among the existing themes e.
You can alter the increment value from the Exercise Notes screen. If you are repeating a set multiple times e. This allows you to make minor adjustments to any set as necessary and to record comments which are specific to an individual set.
The set will become highlighted, the set's values will be displayed in the Set Fields, and the Save and Clear action buttons will be replaced with Update and Delete. You can make any necessary adjustments to the field values and then hit Update to save the changes. Tap Delete to remove this set from the workout. Note that this will also delete any comments recorded against the set. It is also possible to edit multiple sets at once, or edit sets from a past workout, from the Training History.
Tap the icon to the left of a set to make a note of any extra details that you would like to record about the set.
This could include the amount of rest taken before the set, a reminder that a spotter assisted with the last rep, or anything else that you think might be useful. The icon will turn blue to indicate that there is a comment stored against the set and it will be visible when reviewing your Training History in the future.
The Navigation Panel can be opened by tapping the FitNotes logo at the top-left of the Training Screen or by swiping in from the left edge. The exercises that you have already logged in this workout will be displayed along with the number of sets recorded for each. Tap an exercise in the list to select it. This will reload the Training Screen for that exercise allowing you to review the sets that have already been logged or create a new set.
You can re-order the exercises in your workout by pressing-and-holding an exercise in the list and then dragging it to a new position. Tap Add To Group if you would like the exercise to belong to a Superset. It is possible to group exercises in a workout together if they are to be performed as part of a superset or circuit. When you create a set for an exercise in a group or mark a set as complete when the Mark Sets Complete option is enabled then FitNotes will automatically jump you to the next exercise in the group to ensure that you can log your sets as quickly as possible.
There is a video here which demonstrates how to configure a group, or you can follow the steps detailed below. To begin, select the first exercise that you would like to be included in the group by following the steps in Start a Workout above. A default name will be generated for the group but you can change this if needed.
You can also select a colour for the group which will be displayed alongside the exercises in the workout. Your current exercise will be added to the group automatically. Can you report the bug through the app at the bottom of the settings menu? We want to ask some questions to diagnose it. Edit: the email function requires an email account configured on the phone, you can email feedback getfitnotes. Comprehensive features, while still having an extremely intuitive interface.
I use this to take notes on my workouts. Too bad the lifetime cost is kinda high. Update: Developer responded and updated what was needed. So much easier now to find muscle specific exercises. Thanks for listening. The feature you requested - filtering exercises by category - has been added to the latest version. The app is relatively new but mostly the same as the original version, missing features are being added over time.
You can send feedback to us through the app and we will prioritize requests.
